Kaci Roach
Kaci has spent her career exploring ways to improve the connection between the education and workforce systems with the goal of moving more people out of poverty and into family-sustaining careers. This passion drew her to join New Growth in 2016 where she was brought on to manage a project to improve workforce systems supporting disconnected youth and young adults. Since then she has taken on projects that have created policy change for adult learners, researched the gaps in opportunity to access career-technical education, and developed programs to connect women to high-wage careers in which they are underrepresented. She is thankful for her colleagues and peers dedicated to the same anti-poverty mission.
Prior to joining New Growth, Kaci served as the Senior Manager, Knowledge for StriveTogether – a nationwide network of Cradle to Career collective impact partnerships. She holds a Master of Science in Urban Studies from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Ohio State University. While studying for her undergraduate degree, Kaci earned the nickname “No Fun Kaci” which she proudly still uses to this day.
