HHW’s Sarah Taylor recently attended the Working in Water: Career Panel and Expo, hosted by Cuyahoga County’s Fresh Water Institute and the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD), to learn more about the exciting career opportunities emerging across Northeast Ohio’s growing water sector.
The event brought together employers, educators, and workforce partners to showcase pathways into careers that support both our regional economy and the health of Lake Erie and our local waterways. A key takeaway was the tremendous potential for workforce growth across Cleveland’s maritime and water industries—and the importance of strong partnerships in building that future.
Sarah connected with organizations including NEORSD, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), and the Ohio Marine Trades Association (OMTA), reinforcing how collaboration among public agencies, industry, and workforce partners is helping develop the skilled talent needed to protect one of Northeast Ohio’s greatest resources.
At New Growth and HHW, we’re proud to support initiatives that strengthen workforce ecosystems, connect people to meaningful careers, and help communities thrive.
